WEEE Ireland – Service Continuity Notice

In support of the Irish Government’s announcement on the 22nd of December to place Ireland on Level 5 Restrictions, WEEE Ireland will operate as follows:

Our team is fully equipped with secure access to our systems, will follow their normal working hours, and will keep in regular contact with our Members, Recycling Partners, Collection Points and all external Stakeholders as per usual.
We continue to carry out collections for WEEE, waste Batteries and Lighting following guidelines from the HSE, at premises that remain open/operational at this time. Requests for collections can be made by email to operations@weeeireland.ie.
We request that collection points have WEEE, waste Battery and Lighting prepared and ready for collection. In line with best practice it is imperative that any WEEE, waste Battery and Lighting collection point serviced by WEEE Ireland with confirmed or suspected cases of Covid-19 incidents or has restricted site access please inform us at operations@weeeireland.ie.

The health and safety of the Irish public, WEEE Ireland and our Recycling Partners staff, our Members and our external Stakeholders remain of utmost priority to WEEE Ireland. WEEE Ireland will continue to closely monitor the Covid-19 situation and heed all advice from the Government, National Public Health Emergency Team and the HSE. We will continue to work with the DECC, aligning with the High Level Waste Advisory Group on specific WEEE, waste Battery and Lighting best practice and will issue updates accordingly.
